With great delight we welcome friend and colleague Chris Trundle to our kitchen. Chris is currently senior sous chef at Lyles in London (1* Michelin, No. 38 on World’s 50 Best Restaurants), where they are showcasing a vision of modern British cookery, focussed on a no gimmicks, stripped back presentation of solid traditional cookery. These two events, held on Saturday night and Sunday Lunch, will give Trundle the opportunity to present his delightful cuisine, and cook alongside his former colleague, our head chef, James Murray.
Trundle hails from a varied career, developing his traditional skills at Restaurant Tom Aitkins and Trinity, before getting some more off the wall skills under constant source of controversy, chef Michael O’Hare.
Chris cooks two menus:
Saturday 11 May, Chris will prepare a 7 course tasting menu, served at 7:30pm at our usual price of £60pp.
Sunday 12 May, Chris will prepare a Lunch menu based on excellent meats, and big salads, this will take an eight tasting menu format, and costs £45pp, with an optional wine pairing at £30.
