Self taught chef Kemal Delmirasal is Turkey's wunderkund. Running the informal seafood restaurant Barbun and an avant guarde, 2o course tasting menu restaurant - Alancha, where he houses his state of the art R&D lab, pushing Anatolian cuisine to new heights. Kemal compels guests by taking them through the journey of the menu, being very conscious of how he wants to interact with guests he wants them to surrender themselves to the experience - falling into the arms of the chef, in the form of his tasting menu.
It is Kemal's experience and reputation with his strength in the tasting menu format that excites us here at EFS. Kemal transports his Aegean identity to Edinburgh, bringing a menu based on ideas of the sea, of herbs, of greens and of freshness.
During Kemal's time in Edinburgh we will focus on culinary creativity and cross cultural exchange as this talented chef brings flavours and Aegean experience and mixes it all up with Scottish ingredients.
This event will consist of 7 courses for £42, with an optional drinks pairing available for £35. Dinner is served at 8pm and guests are welcomed to join us from 7:30 onwards. Book early to avoid disappointment
