Pastry: savoury and sweet.

Edinburgh Food Studio is happy to host Philippa Marsden for 3 pastry focussed dinners in April. Philippa is a pastry chef, roaming cook and gastronomy enthusiast. She started pâtisserie at Edinburgh's Urban Angel, where she learned the art of viennoiserie and breads under the iron fist of her French mentor Hubert. Following that she moved into fine dining, spending time gaining experience in the Michelin starred restaurants, Andrew Fairlie's (**) and Maaemo (***). She worked at the kitchens of Castle Terrace, Lysebu Hotel, Bagatelle in Oslo, and staged at L'Enclume. Returning to Scotland to complete an Msc in Gastronomy, Philippa is now currently working as a freelance cook/pastry chef. 

On 28, 29 and 30 April Philippa will share her skills and expertise in a pastry tasting menu. Expect to be surprised as Philippa will be exploring the wonderful world of pastry, through savoury and sweet dishes. So as not to give the game away but put your mind at ease, you will not leave hungry or feeling over sweetened. 

The Pastry: Savoury and Sweet with chef Philippa Marsden is £35 a head. Dinner starts at 8:00pm and guests are welcome from 7:30pm for drinks.
