Letting nature in...


Edinburgh Food Studio is honoured to announce a dinner series 'Letting nature in...' with chef, restauranteur and author, JP McMahon.  JP is chef patron of Galway's michelin starred Aniar restaurant, he also runs Aniar Boutique Cookery School, the award-winning Spanish restaurant Cava Bodega, and Eat Gastropub.

JP is committed to the educational and ethical aspects of food, to buying and supporting the best of local and free-range produce, and engaging directly with farmers and producers. His food is ingredient based, JP is known for keeping complications to a minimum, and keeping process visible on the plate. We look forward to seeing how this star of the Irish culinary landscape treats our fine Scottish produce.

JP is founder and host of Food on the Edge, one of the worlds newest and simultaneously influential chef congresses. He is director, founding and current chair of the Galway Food Festival, and a network leader for Cook it Raw. JP is currently a commissioner for Euro-Toques Ireland and sits on its Food Council.

Published author and writer of 'Tapas, A Taste of Spain in Ireland' with second book Gastropub Revolution currently in production. He is a food writer and has a weekly column in the Irish Times on Saturday. He is a regular contributor to Newstalk radio and a bi-weekly slot on RTE TV plus was the winning mentor for the 2015 RTE Series Taste of Success.

As you can see from these photos taken at his michelin starred Anair restaurant in Galway, JP is hugely talented, serving high end gastronomy with great flair.
